Prof. Dr. Sergij O. Vambol

Prof. Dr. Sergij Vambol is engaged in research in the field of Environmental Protection Technologies and Environmental Safety, as well as Applied Mechanics. In 1994, he graduated as a mechanical engineer and since that year, he has been actively engaged in scientific research. In 2003, he received a Candidate Engineering Sciences degree in Applied Mechanics, and in 2013, he received a Doctor of Engineering Sciences degree in Environmental Safety.

 

In 2015, he was awarded the academic title of Professor (Full) in the specialty “Applied Mechanics”. From 2004 to 2019, he was appointed as the Head of the Department of Applied Mechanics, and since 2023, he was appointed as the Head of the Department of Occupational Safety and Environment. He was a participant in 10 scientific projects.

 

Over the course of her entire scientific and pedagogical experience, more than 30 masters and 2 graduate students have been trained under her supervision, more than 400 scientific and educational works have been published, including 15 monographs and 26 patents.

 

He is a Member of 4 editorial boards of scientific journals, including international ones. Since 2015, he has been participating in the certification of scientific personnel of the highest category (opposing and defending doctoral dissertations). Since 2017, he has been the developer of standards for Higher Education of Ukraine in the specialty “Environmental Protection Technologies”, for bachelor, master, and doctor of science levels of education.
 

Prof. Dr. Vambol is an expert at the National Agency for Higher Education Quality Assurance (Ukraine), and participates in the examination of the quality of education of universities in Ukraine. Currently, Prof. Dr. Vambol lives in Ukraine, and he serves as the head of the Department of Occupational Safety and Environment at the National Technical University "Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute", Kharkov, Ukraine. One of his major scientific achievements in 2018, he was awarded the Certificate of the Supreme Council of Ukraine, known as "Diploma of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine".
