Associate Prof. Dr. Zailan Siri

Dr. ZAILAN BIN SIRI was born in Melaka, Malaysia, in 1977. He received the B.Sc. (Honours) degree in Computational and Industrial Mathematics from the Universiti Malaya, Malaysia, in 2001, and the M.Sc. in Applied Mathematics from the Universiti Putra Malaysia in 2004 under supervision Professor Dr. Fudziah Ismail. In 2012, he received Ph.D. degree in Mathematics from the Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia under supervision Professor Dr. Ishak Hashim.

In 2001, he joined the Institute of Mathematical Sciences, Universiti Malaya, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia as a Tutor, and in 2004 became a Lecturer. Since July 2012, he was a Senior Lecturer and appointed as an Associate Professor in 2018. He has taught various courses in Applied Mathematics at undergraduate program level and

supervising 4 MSc and 7 PhD candidates. Currently, 11 Ph.D. and 7 M.Sc. candidates graduated under his supervision.

His current research interests include Computational Fluid Dynamics, Numerical Methods & Analysis and Boundary Layer Problems. He is a Life Member of the Malaysian Mathematical Sciences Society and Golden Key Association. He is also Committee Member of EDUCATUM Journal of Science, Mathematics and Technology, Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris, Perak, Handling Editor (Frontiers in Public Health Aging and Public Health), Review Editor (Frontiers in Thermal Science and Energy Systems) and Guest Editor (Axioms).
